Immigration Lawyer – Portugal Golden Visa Focus

We are seeking an experienced Immigration Lawyer specializing in Portugal’s Golden Visa program. The successful candidate will guide high-net-worth individuals and their families through the legal processes required to obtain residency permits and eventual citizenship in Portugal.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on eligibility criteria, investment options, and documentation for the Golden Visa program
- Prepare, review, and file all necessary immigration applications, forms, and supporting evidence
- Coordinate with financial advisors, real estate agents, and government authorities to ensure compliance
- Monitor changes in immigration law and policy; update clients and internal teams accordingly
- Represent clients in legal proceedings or administrative hearings, as needed
- Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, providing status updates and strategic counsel
Must Have
- Bachelor Degree or Higher Law Degree
- Bar admission in Portugal (or eligibility for Portuguese bar exam)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in immigration law, with a focus on residency-by-investment programs
- In-depth knowledge of Portugal’s Golden Visa legislation and related tax and corporate laws
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and presentation skills in both Portuguese and English
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and client-service orientation
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Nice to have
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin)
- Experience working with high-net-worth international clients and investment funds
